What is in the bag

Therapeutic-dose Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

Required before your first session

Requires a routine G6PD safety blood test before your first session.

Oral vitamin C absorption is capped. Intestinal transporters saturate somewhere around 200 to 400 mg, and past that point additional oral dose is largely excreted, which is why plasma concentration plateaus no matter how many tablets you take. Intravenous delivery bypasses that ceiling entirely and reaches plasma levels many times higher. Vitamin C is also a required cofactor for prolyl and lysyl hydroxylase, the enzymes that cross-link collagen, which is the mechanistic basis for its use in connective tissue support. This is our therapeutic-dose infusion, and it is the one treatment on the menu that requires a blood test before a first session.

Why patients choose Advanced High Dose Vitamin C

  • Reaches plasma concentrations that swallowing vitamin C cannot produce at any dose
  • Cofactor for the enzymes that cross-link collagen, supporting connective tissue
  • Used for deep cellular support and antioxidant load rather than as a general wellness top-up
  • Screened properly: a G6PD blood test is required before your first session, not optional
  • Dose is set by the clinical team at intake and you are told it before anything is mixed

Advanced High Dose Vitamin C — Questions We Get Asked

Why do I need a G6PD test first?

G6PD deficiency is an inherited enzyme condition in which high-dose vitamin C can trigger hemolysis, the destruction of red blood cells. It is not rare, and most people who have it do not know. The test is a routine blood draw. We require it before a first Advanced High Dose Vitamin C session and we will not waive it. Clinics that skip this step are taking a risk with your blood, not with theirs.

How much vitamin C is in the bag?

Your dose is set at intake by the clinical team, based on your history and what you are using it for, and you will be told the number before it is mixed. We do not publish a fixed gram count for this infusion, because starting doses differ and escalating without screening is exactly how high-dose vitamin C causes problems.

Who else should not have it?

Beyond G6PD deficiency: anyone with impaired kidney function or a history of oxalate kidney stones, since vitamin C metabolizes to oxalate, and anyone on chemotherapy, who needs their oncologist's explicit sign-off first because interactions are real. We screen for all of it and will decline to treat if a screen raises a flag.

Does vitamin C IV treat cancer?

No, and we do not offer it for that. High-dose intravenous vitamin C is under genuine investigation as an adjunct in oncology, and some of that research is interesting, but it is not established treatment and this is a wellness clinic, not a cancer center. If you are in cancer care, that conversation belongs with your oncologist.

What does it cost, and is the blood test included?

Call (754) 339-0682 for current pricing and we will tell you how the G6PD test is handled at the same time, so there are no surprises on the day.

It is not a treatment, cure or preventive for any disease, and statements on this site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Individual responses vary. Nothing here is medical advice, and candidacy is determined at an in-person intake. If you are acutely unwell, contact your physician or go to an emergency room rather than booking an infusion.
